About Robert Grayson

Hailing from the world's comedy capital, New York, Robert Grayson has been involved in applying the comedic arts to interpersonal communication for over 17 years.

He is a qualified counselor and a certified Feel the Fear and do it anyway ™ facilitator. Robert has a special interest in personal development and brings a passion for helping people to all he does.

He is a graduate of the American Comedy Institute and has appeared with some of Australia’s most renowned comedians including Carl Barron, Peter Berner, Akmal Saleh and Kitty Flanagan. Besides performances in the USA, corporate appearances and performances at top clubs and festivals Australia-wide, Robert is also a master of musical satire with his parody of Silverchair’s "Tomorrow" being nominated for ARIA comedy record of the year.
Through his music career Robert has worked with the cream of Australian music talent, including Savage Garden, The Whitlams, Slim Dusty, 1927, Troy Cassar-Daley and Tim Finn.
Robert’s passions and focus are now on teaching and facilitation and his acclaimed stand-up comedy workshops have quickly expanded, starting in Brisbane and spreading Australia wide. They have become popular with aspiring stand-ups, performers, writers and business people who want to improve their presentation skills and those seeking the adrenalin rush of a life changing one-time challenge.
Robert also conducts experiential communication and humour workshops at the Universities of Queensland, South Australia, and West Australia and for community groups and companies throughout Australia.
Robert’s course graduates consistently excel in national comedy competitions. He boasts numerous finalists and two Queensland JJJ RAW state champions among his past students. Several are now rising stars in their own right with regular club, radio and TV appearances.
Not everyone who does the course wants a career of Stand-Up Comedy. Graduates also include people from all walks of life: business people who claim their sales calls have been transformed by the workshops, therapists, journalist, DJs, doctors and lawyers now adding more humor to their work and everyone from CEOs to mentally and physically handicapped people who express a marked boost in their self-confidence as a result.
Robert sees spreading more laughter as a key goal in a world crying out for health and change.
Robert is based in far northern NSW where he lives with his son Gabriel. Together they shop at Bi-lo, pick tics off the neighbour’s dog and try feebly to remember to water the veggie patch.
